Alghero is on the western side of Sardinia, which basically means that I had the best opportunity to experience a sunset dinner. If you love sunset dinners as much as I do, then it is definitely something for you. The idyllic scenery of the sea in combination with the mountains was the perfect view while eating a delicious dinner.

As you can see on the pictures, we had a great and exclusive dinner at an Italian restaurant with a wonderful view of the sunset and the beach. Both of us ordered Sardinian homemade pasta with seafood, which Sardinia is known for. As a lover of Italian food – especially pasta – this pasta with seafood dish was just spot on. The pasta was incredibly fresh and stir-fried with prawns made it perfectly flavorful. I tried a special Sardinian pasta type called Fregola, which instantly became my favorite type of pasta. Fregola are formed into small and slightly chewy balls, which are a great fit with seafood such as clams or prawns. I have searching for this pasta type ever since but without luck!
