Today I want to update you guys about my birthday week. First, let me explain you why I call it a birthday week. During my stay in Australia I learned that Australians usually celebrate their birthdays multiple times, e. g. by having a birthday dinner with the family/ partner or having a cocktail night with the friends etc. Therefore they call it the birthday week. I mean, I also have multiple birthday dinners but I never thought of calling it a birthday week before but now I do!
Anyways, it is always nice to have a birthday week because so much fun stuff is going on. Especially it is a reason to eat! Yes, I said it… to eat! The ones who follow me on Instagram know how much I love food. My life is literally all about delicious food (check delicious meals on my Insta by clicking here).
On my actual birthday, I celebrated my birthday in a Japanese restaurant (here) in Frankfurt (Germany) having Teppanyaki. I heard about it for the first time when I was in Sydney one year ago. However, I never had the chance to try it there because I was too busy enjoying thousands of other good stuff. That’s why I got to eat Teppanyaki as a surprise this year.
Teppanyaki is interesting and new to me since it is not served in the traditional way. The concept of Teppanyaki restaurants is that a chef cooks fresh food in a very creative way right in front of you. To be honest I think the food was nothing too special but the experience definitely was.
I hope you enjoyed my post.
