Playa Blanca

In my last post Jameos del Agua x Red Jumpsuit, my Post Tip #1 was for you guys to not use the capital of Lanzarote, Arrecife, as a base. You should rather go to a tourist city like Playa Blanca. I visited it two times and immediately fell in love with the vacation vibes there. Great beaches, lovely restaurants, and nice scenery – what’s not to like, right?

We parked our car and started exploring the city. What I really loved was the nice palm tree filled streets with a view of mountains in the background, which obviously called for a quick photo session. Another great thing about Playa Blanca or Lanzarote in general is the easiness of finding a parking spot! No matter where we drove to regardless of it being in the center or a popular attraction, there was always a free parking spot.

After a walk through the city, we ended up in a lovely Italian restaurant close to the beach. The restaurant is actually a part of a resort which gave the restaurant a romantic vibe. Furthermore, a stage was placed between all the restaurants around that area and singers performed some live music from current music charts. Happiness is a relative term but sitting in a nice italian restaurant, listening to a great voice singing oldies such as Eric Clapton´s Tears in Heaven and The Eagles´Hotel California, definitely defines happiness for me at that moment!

Outfit

Anyways, I had a very good day at Playa Blanca. Of course it is also important to dress accordingly to the summer vibes of the city. I strolled through the city wearing yet another polka dotted piece – a red skirt – that I combined with a simple black tank top, a straw hat, and a straw summer bag. Playa Blanca is the most southern resort of Lanzarote and it is from here that you can take a ferry to Fuerteventura, which upcoming posts will feature so stay tuned for my Fuerteventura adventure! xx Lynn
