I have no idea if it has anything to do my age but lately, I have become a huge fan of hotels with spa facilities! Now that it is winter here in Europe, T and I sometimes just fancy driving somewhere to a nice hotel to relax for a weekend.

Our recent weekend getaway was to Hotel Corinthia in the beautiful city of Prague. We drove there very early in the morning on a Saturday and then back again Sunday afternoon. Time was therefore quite limited and we had to make the most out of it, meaning: a bit of sightseeing, eat our favorite Vietnamese dishes at Sapa Market, and of course spend time inside the amazing Hotel Corinthia.

I was surprised how big the hotel was – with 539 rooms split over 26 floors, this hotel is one of the buildings that stand out in the sky in Prague. It is located next to Prague Congress Centre and the metro is a 2 min walk away, from which you can reach the city center with only a 2-stop drive (huge plus, especially if you are there to do a lot of sightseeing).

We had ourselves booked into an executive room, which included access to the spa facilities (swimming pool, sauna, and steam rooms) as well as complimentary food and beverages during lunch and dinner. The lounges and restaurants were beautifully decorated, so there is definitely no shortage of spots to sit and relax.

We absolutely loved this hotel because of its size (exploring takes its time) and the spa was exactly what we needed on a cold winter weekend. If you´re going to Prague, Hotel Corinthia would be a great option because of its comprehensively adequate offerings – both for families, couples, and business travelers. We found the hotel to be of great value as well. You can find a room for as low as 100 Euros a night and pay a fee to use the spa facilities OR go for an executive room, which would set you back 200-250 Euros per night. But for that, you get free access to the spa, complimentary meals, and other benefits. Finally, the hotel is only a 5 min drive with the metro to the city – perfect!

We did this trip two weeks and actually did a similar one to a beautiful lake in Southern Germany, which I will tell you about in one of the upcoming blog posts! However, that would be it for weekend getaways this year – December and Christmas areclosing in and I have planned an incredible trip to a warm destination for Christmas/New Years – guess where or head to my IG to see which place I am talking about!

Until next time!

xx Lynn
